Jackie Sherlock (Alliance Director)

Jackie lives in Solhull in the West Midlands with husband Andy and ten year old son, Tom who was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder aged 2 years 9 months

Soon after Jackie began a Son-Rise Programme for Tom, full time for four years and part time for two years as Tom transitioned into mainstream school. Today, Tom is in mainstream school full time with some support and continues to have 'top up' sessions.

Tom has been treated biomedically for 6 years now and has improved enormously in terms of his health, addressing his ongoing herpes simplex outbreaks on his face, he now eats a wider range of foods as he was a very fussy eater and had a poor appetite. He is much more focused now and has a typical attention span for his age.

Jackie and Andy have used a number of other therapies with Tom including HANDLE, AIT, The Listening Programme, Vision Therapy, Chiropractic, cranial sacral therapy, Fast Forword and Sensory Intergration Occupational Therapy.

Today, Tom is a happy, engaging, chatty boy with lots of friends who enjoys school and life generally, a very different child from when they first started on their journey with Tom.
